Is Brickspin.Shop Legit or a Scam?

With an increase in online shopping scams, extra caution is needed, otherwise, you might lose your money to fraudsters. Thus, when Brickspin.shop was among the most searched sites on ScamAdviser, we were compelled to take a look.

Brickspin.shop sells a variety of fashion products from t-shirts to shorts and Denim. However, can they be trusted or are they a scam? Let’s find out.

The Changing Names

One of the first things I noticed is that the name of the website keeps changing. While the link reads Brickspin.shop, the name on the website is Strybuzz.

It’s common for scammers to use aliases to perplex customers. A noteworthy example in this regard is the inclusion of alternative names such as Strybuff on the website, while the absence of any reference to Brickspin is conspicuous.

The deliberate use of such practices aims to generate confusion and impede customers' ability to seek assistance in the event of any untoward incidents.

Are They Part of a Scam Network?

A "scam network" is a group of separate websites developed by one party with the express intention of defrauding users. I noticed a lot of characteristics that overlap with scam networks such as:

Using Copied Content

In the “About Us” section, they claim that, “dedicated to today’s generation of style-conscious individuals. Our store assembles the elements of sportswear, punk, and street fashion.”

The same content appears on many other dubious websites such as Evnttc.com which could suggest that they are a part of a larger network of scams.

Owned by a dubious company

On the “Contact Us” page, they claim they are owned by Kentesh Ltd which is in the UK. It’s highly likely that this is a shell company, presumably from China, that’s also claimed by many other scammy websites such as Perffct.com.

To prevent the firm name from appearing in search results, the information above is typically formatted as an image.

The best way to tell if a website is run by Kentesh Company Limited is to see if it's listed on the Terms & Conditions, Contact Us, About Us, or Privacy Policy page. Sometimes they may use different addresses all from the UK.

High-pressure Sales Tactics

I also noticed that they are using high-pressure sales tactics to rush customers into buying their products. For instance, they list the number of people allegedly viewing a product to psychologically pressure customers into quickly buying a product.

On top of this, they also include a pop-up claiming a certain customer has purchased an item not so long ago. Again, this is meant to boost customer confidence.

Using such high-pressure sales tactics makes us doubt the legitimacy of Brickspin.shop.

Bottom Line

Overall, there are a lot of red flags that suggest Brickspin.shop is likely a scam. From the inclusion of Kentesh Ltd, which is likely a Chinese shell company, to the changing names, the website leaves raises a few eyebrows.

Plus they use duplicated content from other websites which could suggest they are a part of a scam network. They use high-pressure sales tactics which is another characteristic that overlap with scam websites.

In general, customers should exercise caution when shopping at Brickspin.shop. There are more reliable fashion shopping sites out there.
